We engineer, assemble and install the data acquisition systems, provide dedicated sensors, manage the remote access, data transfer and data storage.

STATE OF THE ART SIGNAL PROCESSING AND DATA ANALYSIS SERVICES
Data analysis is the core expertise at 24SEA. Our team has over 10 years of experience in structural dynamics, signal processing, system identification and structural health monitoring using data mining techniques.
Our in house developed data analysis tools provide the operator with the insights that are crucial to minimize construction and installation costs of future offshore structures and assess the lifetime of existing structures and reduce their operation, maintenance and inspection costs.
Our test and short term monitoring services using one or more of our in house engineered mobile measurement systems are dedicated for:
Periodic design verification where the vibration levels, resonance frequencies and damping values of the offshore structure are identified for e.g. commissioning and scour assessment
Characterizing the seismic behavior of an offshore structure, its components and their interaction providing input for design validation and optimization, periodic inspection, failure investigation and trouble shooting
At 24Sea we have extensive experiences with providing monitoring solutions for offshore substructures and foundations for:
Dynamic Monitoring using accelerometers and inclinometers for measuring vibration levels, resonance frequencies, damping values and mode shapes
Load Monitoring using both classic strain gauges as optical fiber bragg sensors for accessing stresses, bending moments and accumulated damage
Grout Monitoring based on displacement sensors and load cells for measuring relative MP-TP displacements, inclinations and loads
Wave Monitoring using a wave radar for measuring heave, wave heights, wave periods,...
Our experience and track record in offshore wind started in 2011 with the Belwind offshore wind farm. A full foundation monitoring system, including grout monitoring, dynamic monitoring and load monitoring was installed on 1 turbine in 2011 and is operating ever since. Today we are active at all Belgian windfarms (Belwind, Northwind and C-power) and recently 3 more turbines have been equiped with a full FSHM system in an offshore windfarm in the Netherlands.
Our in-house developed platform enables our analysts to process large amounts of data and generate automated online and/or periodic reporting of all monitored parameters. All procedures for data processing, analysis and reporting are state of the art.
At 24SEA we strive to continously improve our data analysis techniques to improve the decission support of the operator. Our team members continue to innovate by participating in national and international research and joint industry projects.
